MESQUITE HISTORIC DISTRICT / MESQUITE MURAL PROJECT / PUBLIC ART / GRAPHICS
April 11 to May 16, 2005
The original conceptual view of the ceramic mural.

Variations of time and views of the Historic Mesquite District and some of its residents in 9 panels each measuring 6 feet high by 8 feet wide and will spread across the 122 foot garden wall.

There will be 8 ceramic tile murals measuring 6 X 8 feet and spread across a 122 X 8 feet wall.
It is hoped the tiles will be designed, painted, fired and assembled by late July 2005 with installation at the site in the Fall of 2005.
This ceramic tile mural project is a collaborative adventure which began with Las Esperanza's commitment to a community revival, where history would be honored and people of the district would be recognized and paid tribute.
In collaboration with Las Esperanza and Court Youth Center, Wolverton begun workshops with Alma d'arte students who will help create the final design and also produce the finished ceramic tile mural.
